Mr. Monkey's first haircut

I know that everyone is going to say that I should not have cut off his curls, but I didn't know how to do his hair anymore and I was worried his hair might start looking like Krusty the Clown. jk But anyway I thought it was time to give Mr. Monkey his first haircut. Cruz was a good sport as long as he had some snacks... I know it sounds gross mixing snacks with a haircut, but it was the only way. I think his new do is pretty cute. The babies are 8 months old now and March was a big month for us. Cruz is now crawling and Kaya is army crawling. They are learning so fast and are so hard to keep up with. I feel like I'm constantly chasing them and putting them back in the play area just to run and grab them again. I've been trying the think positively about all of this hoping that all this running around will help me loose my baby weight. It hasn't worked yet... Saturday I found Cruz inside the excersaucer he had gotten inside all by himself. He has turned into this crazy monkey over night. Kaya is such a big girl now. Today I gave her a bath and dressed her and sat her on the floor with this cute little drum for her to play with. I gave Cruz a bath and got him dressed to find her still sitting there playing with the drum and belly laughing at Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She is so sweet and happy all the time. They both laugh at the dog and kitty now and wake eachother up during nap time. I can't believe how big my giant babies are, before I know it they will be 1 and walking. Erin, I am so sad you are moving! I will miss having you down the road :(. Although I will still beg you to come to my house everyday I'm not sure who I will get slurpees with, spend 3 hours at target with, or drive down to orange county for 6 hrs with on a whim. These are the only pics I have of us so we will have to make more memories this summer. Love you!

I'm trying to get caught up. The babies turned 6 months old in January and started eating baby food. They are such good eaters! At first they were really confused and hated rice cereal, but once I added a little sugar and some bananas they were so happy. Here are some pictures of my messy little babies. :)

My sister Michelle had the best idea to take these Valentines pictures of the babies. They looked so cute in their valentines outfits I made with some of my Grandma's fabric. (Thanks Grandma) They were free so that's the best part! Even though they were super tired we still got a cute picture. Thanks Michelle!

We finally took pictures of the babies in their blessing outfits. They turned out so cute! Thanks Aunt Shell. Cruz barely fit in his outfit because he first wore it when he was 2 months old but it still looked cute. And Kaya is wearing the most beautiful dress that my Grandma made her. It is so beautiful and has such pretty details. I hope that Kaya's daughters can wear it when they are blessed. Thank you so much Grandma Olive. You are amazing.

Christmas with kids is so fun! We had so much fun this year visiting both our families. Also, Santa came and brought us so many fun gifts. Cruz and Kaya got new clothes toys and lots of books. I can't wait until next year when the babies can open their own presents.

My babies turned 3 months old this week. Its crazy how they grow so fast and I still feel like they haven't changed at all. They both are smiling now and grabbing my hair all the time. Both babies love to eat and can't sleep enough. We were blessed with such good babies and I'm grateful for that because otherwise I would be going crazy. They also LOVE Yo Gabba Gabba. Its so funny if I need to do something I just turn it on and they stare at it. So cute. We just got them a bunch of new toys, but they aren't all that interested except for the little mirror that came with this cute purse. They love to stare at themselves. We are practicing sitting up alot and and doing alot of tummy time. Kaya is definitely catching up to her big brother in size and strength. All the sudden she doesn't look so tiny in comparison. Time is going by so fast before I know it they will be 1.Little SleepersFunny Face

Oceanside

Last weekend we went to Oceanside and had so much fun! We got Einsteins for breakfast, YUMMY! and Pedros for Linner. We did a little shopping and walked along the beach. I think the babies liked it. I want then to like the beach like we do. We love Oceanside and hope to move there once Rob is done with school. Yay I remembered take pictures :).

Just thought I would post some picture of my sweet little babies. They are almost 3 months old now I can't believe it. I took the babies for their 2 month check up and never posted about it. Cruz was 11 lbs 4 oz which was 87 % in weight on the premie chart and Kaya was 8 lbs 10 oz about 15 % on the premie chart. They are both 50% in length so we have a chunky monkey and a skinny mini. :) We have been super busy just getting by but its been a blast and we wouldn't change a thing. Cruz and Kaya at 2 months old.

Our babies turned one month old last wednesday. We can't believe that they are growing up so fast. It's been a really fun month, lots of new experiences. Our babies are growing fast like they're supposed to. Kaya is still a lot lighter than Cruz but she's almost as tall. She grew over 3 inches in the first three weeks! She is going to be our tall skinny super model. We have been blessed and the babies have been healthy. We feel like we have really good babies- they hardly even cry. They only cry when they get hungry or when daddy changes their diapers, they don't like being naked.

Our Newest Arrivals

On July 26th, 2010 at 12:57 pm Cruz Keith and Kaya Gwen were born at Loma Linda Hospital. Cruz weighed 6lb 7oz and measured 19 inches and Kaya weighed in at 5lb 8oz and measure 16 1/2 inches long. They are so perfect and cute we love them so much and feel so blessed. They are now 3 weeks old I can't believe it. I'm already sad they are growing up. Here are some pictures from the hospital, their first night home and one of the many amazing pictures my sister took.

I am now 34 1/2 weeks pregnant and we can't wait to meet our little babies. I could have these babies tonight or in 3 weeks. Its so crazy not knowing when our life will change forever. We are so greatful for all the love and support our families and friends have provided us during this crazy time. We will try to keep everyone updated! Wish us luck.

We made some surboard wall hangings for the babies' nursery... when ever we get one. Right now we're in a one bedroom apartment so our room is the babies' nursery. My brother Richard cut them out for us and then we painted them. I painted Cruz's and Amy painted Kaya's.

Fathers Day!

Yesterday was Rob's first Fathers Day. I think with 2 babies on the way he's close enough to being a Daddy. Anyway, we had a great day, Rob wore his crazy Father's day tie to church, he was a good sport :) and we had one of his favorite dinners, BBQ Chicken Pizza and Cheesecake with cherries on top for dessert. I can't wait to see Rob in action as a Dad I think he is going to be so great with the babies. They will always know their Daddy loves them. Happy Fathers Day honey.

To my Dad Happy Fathers Day! You have always been a great example to me and have always made me feel so loved. You are the BEST! I love you very much.

Hey this is Rob. Amy and I went to get an ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and these are some of the pictures we got. By the way both babies are healthy and growing as fast as they can.
This is our baby boy. This was probably the clearest picture but too bad one of the umbilical cords was floating in front of his face.

Our girl (on the left) is giving her brother (on the right) a big smooch on the cheek.

This is the only picture we got of our baby girl because most of the time her face was pressed up against a membrane. Every time they tried to get a picture her face was squished like she had pantyhoes on her head.

Easter Sunday

We had a brunch at my Grandma and Grandpa's house for Easter it was so yummy and fun!

We loved watching the kids hunt for eggs and spending time with my family. I can't even believe that next year we are going to have 2 babies crawling around! It will be so fun to have the Easter Bunny visit us...I'm looking forward to the candy. :)

I woke up the other day and I realized that I never post on my blog! These pictures have been on my camera for months!!!

So...here's an update...

We used these stuffed animals to tell our families we were pregnant! ...with twins! They are so cute and worked so good. Everyone was super suprized.

Our 2 Year Anniversay!

Ok, so I know this is late, but we've been so busy. Our 2 year anniversay was on June 22nd and I can't believe that's its been 2 years! I guess time flies when your having fun. I have such a wonderful husband and I feel like I need to make sure that he knows why he's so great! So here is a list of all the many things I love about you Rob.

I love Rob because...

1) he's super cute.
2) he's randomly crazy funny.
3) he has the prettiest green eyes.
4) he treats me like a Queen.
5) he tucks me in every night and doesn't mind that I wiggle around for like 10 minutes before I'm comfy.
6) he is the nicest person I've ever met.
7) he's a great example of a Priesthood holder.
8) he's going to be the best dad in the world (if we ever get a baby :) jk)
9) he loves DisneyLand almost as much as me.
10) he alwasy says that he likes my cooking and eats it. Even when it doesn't turn out right.
11) he likes Taco Bell. (Could have been a deal breaker)
12) he knows how to make me happy when I'm having a bad day.
13) he sticks by me no matter what.
14) he gives the best massages ever.
15) he treats me with respect.
16) he loves to camp and is super handy setting up the trailor and everything else.
17) he loves the beach.
18) he's gonna make me some super cute crazy babies someday.
19) he's super smart.
20) he wants what I want.
21) he loves the movies just as much as I do.
22) he lets me take as many pictures as I want and never complains.
23) he's my best friend and I never, ever, ever get sick of him.
24) he's a hot surfer babe.
25) he makes me smile all the time.
26) he loves the Lord.
27) he's a hard worker.
28) he's a good helper in the kitchen.
29) he's always up for an adventure.
30) he is always there for me no matter what.
etc. etc. etc.

This list could go on forever.
Thank you Rob for a fabulous 2 years. I am so excited for the rest of our lives together and I can't wait for our next adventure. Hopefully it will be Maui! Yeah!

I have the BEST news! Today we found out that Rob got into PA school!!!! Yay!! He will start at Loma Linda in the Fall and we are so happy. The program for Physician Assistants is 2 years long and we are excited for Rob to get started right away. Rob had been on the wait list since March and he got a call today letting him know that a spot opened up for him. He had a 2% chance of getting in since they only accept 28 people out of the 1300 applicants. I just wanted to share the great news. Thanks for everyones support. Great Job Rob! I am so proud of you!

Santa Barbara

Back in March Rob and I went up to Santa Barbara to go camping. It was soooo beautiful. We camped at Carpeteria, it was so much fun and the weather was perfect. I didn't get any pictures of Rob and I, not sure what I was thinking, but here are some pictures of the scenery and Bruiser ( just for you Shelby :) ) .

Update!

It's been so long since I've blogged, so I will try to update everyone on what we've been doing. We are still living in Placentia with the Gibson's. Life is busy and good. We are still waiting to hear if Rob got into Loma Linda's PA program, but hopefully we will have a happy announcement for everyone in a couple of days. I've been working at InterCall since Novemeber and am still trying to figure it out. The job has been super challenging and stressful, but I've been doing really good. So hope I can keep it up. Lately we've been trying to spend more time at the beach since its only 20 minutes away. Two weekends ago we went to Mutt Lynches. It's this super fun restaurant right on the boardwalk in Newport and you get your soda in these huge goblets! Love it! Kiley, if you're reading this Mutt's misses you. And this weekend we went down to Crystal Cove and went for a walk to the Shake Shack but didn't get anything. What is up with that!? Next time that won't happen. Anyways, just thought it was sad that my last post was forever ago. I hope everyone is doing awesome! Here are some pictures of our latest adventures!

12/13 Rob's birthday surprise! I told Rob it was just Him and I going to Lucille's for his birthday (his fav restaurant) and when he showed up his friends were there to surprise him. It was so fun and the food was good.

Christmas!! My favorite holiday was super fun this year. This is Rob and I Christmas morning.

Rob ran a 1/2 marathon. I knew he could do it, but I thought we was crazy that is like 13+ miles! Good Job Rob. He rand it in 2 hrs and 15 min. Pretty good for only having a week to train and being sick that whole week. I think it would take me 4 maybe 5 hours. :)

We never get to see Nikki and Brooks, but we were lucky and had an awesome night of Crepes and a movie! Yum!

Cupcakes!! I've recently developed a desire to make tons of cupcakes. My Mom gave me this awesome book for Christmas called Hello Cupcakes! and it has the cutest stuff in it. Here are some pics, the first are TV dinner cupcakes and then my sunflower cupcakes.

Snowboarding with Monica and Sean in Utah. We had the BEST time with the Struebings in Utah. We got to stay at Sean's parents house in St. George, it was so nice and it was only 45 minutes away from Bryan Head. We played Hand Foot every night and never won, but we will beat you guys someday! You'll see. It practically snowed the entire trip and we were snowboarding in snow up to our waists. It was awesome! That is the only time in my life that I could say there was too much snow. But at least it didn't hurt when we fell. :) We took a drive through Zion National Park, it is so pretty. Check it out.

For my birthday Rob surprised me and took me to the Melting Pot. It was so fun and super delicious. I love going to that place, especially the dessert part of going there. Yum! Thanks Rob, you are always do everything you can to make sure I'm happy. I love you!

So I'm still trying to catch up because we've done so much fun stuff lately. On Nov 1st Rob, Nate, and I got to go to a USC game. USC is Rob's favorite football team. I have endured, I mean enjoyed, many many USC games on TV, but now yet any live. So we got tickets from Rob's work buddy and were so excited. It was so fun and we loved the rain cause we got panchos...sexy. It was a blowout game. USC won 50 something to 0. Whooohoo! The next day we got to go to Evan Parker Struebing's blessing. It was awesome to be there. He is such a lucky boy, he has great parents, a great home, lots of love, and the gospel in his life. We had such a great time. And are excited to see him grow.

So I know its been a little while since I posted last so...I'm going to catch up. We had so much fun on Halloween, we dressed up like M & M's, peanut and plain, and went over to eat, party, and trick or treat with the Parkins. It was so fun. I love seeing all the cute kids dressed up and having so much fun. Even Bruiser dressed up :).

I tried to make cute witch cupcake, they didn't turn out as cute as I had hoped, but thats ok because witches are supposed to be ugly.

Moving Back!! :)

Yay! We are moving back to California on Friday and I'm really excited. I will miss Arizona alot! Especially the great friends that we've made here and the awesome ward. I don't think there are any others like it. But we have to go, Rob needs to take a few more classes to get into PA school and I am going to go back to school to become a math teacher. Another Bachelors Degree never hurt anyone and hey maybe I can get some more graduation presents...haha jk. Rob got his job at Neck and Back Medical Center back and I will be working at Islands and substitute teaching. We are going to be living with Rob's parents which will be a great help for us to be able to save up for PA school. Plus we will be able to get Disney Land passes and go to Diddy Reeses Cookie Factory. My favorite place to eat :), well besides the sushi place in Lake Forest. I miss sushi alot and the beach. Anyway, we are excited to see our friends and family in CA and we are so happy we have so many awesome people to help us unpack. I hadn't posted in a while and I wanted to update everyone. Thanks for all your love and support. I will post again when we are in CA.

The Lake with the Newtons

So, on Saturday we got to go to the Lake with the Newtons. We had so much fun! We love hanging out with them and we love wakeboarding, so it was a sure thing. Ella and Kailey were so cute and fun! I wish I could have seen Kailey wakesurf. I haven't been wakeboarding in a year or two and I was nervous at first but it turned out ok... Next time I'll try a backflip, haha, jk. I want to say thanks to Jason and Andrea for the best time. Here are some pics of our day.

Recently we started experiencing some serious monsoons. We are just sitting in our living room and all the sudden it starts pooring rain and sometimes there's crazy thunder and lighting. I love it sooo much! I think its the best thing in the world because you get to play in all the huge puddles. Rob was smart and wore his bathing suit, while I, not so smart, got soaked in my pjs. And Bruiser...didn't want to be left out, but I don't think he liked it very much.

4th of July Weekend

Sorry, this is really late, but I have some really cute pictures from our 4th of July in California. We had so such fun hanging out with our families. It all started with a pool party and watching fireworks from my parents balcony. It was so awesome we could see like 15 firework shows all at once. Then we got to go to my niece Brittany's baptism, we are so proud and excited for her. This was a great experience and the spirit was very strong that night. I can only imagine what it would be like to baptize one of your own children. After we had a party and we all had a blast. Some of my favorite pics are below. I have so many more but i didn't know if you all would want to see like 3o more pics. :)

Wonton vs. Bruiser

So...Wonton and Bruiser have been sort of getting along, besides Bruiser chasing Wonton all around the house, I want to tell Wontong that bruiser is only1/4 his size. Surprising enough I think Wonton (our cat) secretly likes Bruiser (our dog) because he walks up and sniffs him all the time while he's sleeping and He comes out alot more then He did before. Here are some pictures of the battle. It's kind of a story.

Yesterday we got a new puppy! He's a chi-poo half chihuahua and half poodle, but don't worry he's more chihuahua. The best part is I'm not really allergic to bruiser and Wonton has been sort of getting along with him. He's only 7 weeks old and weighs about 1 lb. They said he will probably get up to 6 lbs, unless he gets super fat like Wonton. He likes his belly scratched.

Bruisers getting used to his crate, well sort of. I have to bribe him with treats. Can't wait for you to meet him.

The best year of my life!

Today is my one year wedding anniversary to my wonderful hubby Rob. This year has been so happy and so much fun. It has had many ups and very few downs and I wouldn't trade it for anything. When we first got married I didn't think I could love Rob anymore, but I love him so much more now. He is kind, thoughtful, loving, caring, generous, and so much more. I will live the rest of my life trying to be as wonderful as he is. He is so good to me, he planned this awesome weekend for us at the Arizona Biltmore. He said I have a surprise weekend planned and I asked where were were going and he said to Phoenix. :) I thought that was funny, but it ended up being perfect. The hotel was beautiful and right when we got there the lady at the front desk upgraded us to a huge room and send us chocolate covered strawberries and a cute note wishing us a Happy Anniversary.

The rest of the weekend we spent at the pool sliding down the awesome slide! It was the best, except all the little kids kept cutting...hahaha! jk

Yahoo!!!

We had so much fun on Saturday night when went to one of our favorite restaurants CPK and saw Get Smart and loved it. I thought it was an awesome movie! Soooo funny I give it 5 stars. Sorry if this is dragging on and on, I'm just gonna put some pics of our hotel because it was soo beautiful built in the 1920s. Anyways, good times!

I know this is a little late but I want my Dad to know how much I love Him and appreciate him. All my life he has worked so hard to support our family and give us everything we need. He worked hard so that my Mom could stay home with us and take care of us. He is always ready to give me a hug when I need it and a big smile. He always laughs when I try to be funny and tries to understand why I do what I do. He has been there when I had really rough times and I know he will be there in the future. Dad I love you sooo much! Thanks for always being so good to us! :)

So, my favorite show in the world has finally started! I am so obsessed I watched it 3 times already! There are so many talented dancers, including a Mormon girl and a girl from Esperanza! Who would have thought! Anyway, I put some video's of my favorites!

This is a video of Chelsie and Mark. They were by far my favorites, I love Mia Micheals choreography. This dance was supposed to be like Tim Burton's wedding...awesome!

This is Twitchington. I love both of them Kharington is a student at Esperanza and like the cutest girl ever and Twitch is just hilarious! enjoy...it will make you smile ;)

And lastly, my second favorite dance. I loved this dance and was touched by Katee and Joshua, they were so good and it was a really good choreography. The story was that they were a couple and they just found out that Joshua is going away to war. Watch and you'll love it!

Mesa Temple and New Friends!

Saturday night we got to go to the Mesa Temple with some new friends to do baptisms. The temple was so beautiful, the old architecture and details were amazing. After we went to Famous Daves, where we had the best ribs on earth. I will be back soon and we laughed for the rest of the night! It was the best!Here is a picture I took on the way to the temple of some of my new friends, Rebecca and Shannon. I hope we have more good times in the near future!

Visit from Mom!

My Mom came into town last week and we had such a good time! We just watched So You Think You Can Dance, a bunch of movies, got our nails done and decorated. It was perfect timing because I had no job for the whole week and Rob ended up working until like 10 everynight, so she kept me company. :) Anyway here is a picture below of all of us. Mom it was sad to see you go! Here is a picture of our guest bath that my Mom helped me finish decorating. It was good because I was a little stuck.

And this is a pic of our new couch! Yay! It is so comfy and we can fit alot fo people on it. It was worth every penny! Well I hope you all want to come and visit soon because we need some help breaking it in!

Our new home in Surprise!!!!!

This is a picture of our new home in Surprise, AZ. Our new home is 3 bed 2 bath and is much bigger then our little 1 bedroom apartment in Ladera Ranch. Yay! We have almost got all of our stuff unpacked, but our house is still a little messy, so that is why I put a picture of the outside and not the inside. Those will come a little later. Things are great! I had a moment the other night where I freaked out and was like "What did we do? I don't know anyone here!" But Rob calmed me down and now I'm realizing with the help of the Lord everything will work out and we will be happy. I was putting some pictures up on the wall and I had this picture we got for our wedding.

It helped me feel alot better.

Just incase you were wondering Wonton loves his new home too and has adapted well, especially to Veann my mother in law who has stayed with us for the week to help us get settled in. Thanks Veann you have been soo helpful :).

Don't worry, I realize wonton looks a little grumpy, but that was just because of the flash. Well, just wanted to update everyone and tell you all we miss you tons and we can't wait to come and visit. :) Don't forget about us, we will always be thinking about you. I will post some new pics soon.

Graduation Day!

Wooo hooo! Rob graduated this past weekend and I am so proud! He finished the school year with an overall gpa of about 3.6. He has made the deans list every year and graduated cumulate. Yay Rob! This past semester he took 19 units and still worked over 20 hours a week. I know that it was really rough for him and I'm grateful that he works so hard for our family. He just got an awesome job and is at training in New Orleans right now to be a medical sales rep for dynasplint. It is going to be hard work, but I know that he will love his job and it will pay off in the future when we have lots of babies. I'm thinking 5 or 6...but we'll see. We had a party to celebrate Rob and his sister Melanie's Graduation. I've posted some pictures of the fun.

We had an awesome night with the Leavitts. We went to dinner at Portillos...thats probably not how you spell it but it was a ton of fun! After we played the mexican name game. Who farted? and Signs. And laughed so hard my stomach is still super sore. We had soo much fun! Oh I forgot shopping at Kohls. I love that place. :) It was a fun night!

We just got back from our first cruz! It was alot of fun, mainly because we got to relax a little after all of the stress we've been dealing with finding jobs and Rob's finals. When we got there we were a little dissapointed at first because our room smelt like BO and really bad jamacan colon and Rob couldn't stretch his arms out without touching both sides of the room. However; it got alot better when we discovered the shuffle board on deck! Yeah! We love it, but we had to fight all the 80 year old men for it. Anyway, after that we relaxed by the pool and got some good burns that are turning into nice tans :) and feel alot less stressed. We got to go Rock climbing and try on Big Pink somberos in Ensenada. Overall, we had a really good time! Check out the pictures. xoxo
